Bin 941 had a 2-hour wait for a table, so after an incredible meal at India Bistro, at which I experienced an “Orange Passion” martini, we went a-touring the Yaletown district. We wandered a mile or so through intermittent rain as far as the Cyber club, where the city’s beautiful and fashionable elite were just starting to arrive at 11PM, and the bass was just beginning to thunder. Despite the advertised ‘5 DJs, 3 computers!’, we decided that after being up at 4AM that day to catch a plane, this wasn’t the night to pay $20 each for this kind of scene.

So we took a different route back through Yaletown and identified all sorts of other interesting (and more low-key) clubs, bars, taverns and the like, and spread the word of Grupthink as best were were able. Certified Meme Diffuser Holotone continued on into the night after Geekchk and I called it a night.

I predict that some of the “breadcrumbs” we sprinkled around Vancouver last night will attract some new dedicated grupies, and we’ll be doing more of the same today.
