Yes, Grupies, as you may have noticed, Grupthink now comes with Google text ads. We’ve been ad-free since our public beta launch in April, but the Grupthink user-base has been expanding at an exponential rate lately (hi again, Diggers!). More Grupies means more bandwidth, which means crazy bandwidth bills to pay, and we couldn’t be happier! What to do about the increased hosting fees? Since we would never want to do anything to offend our beloved Grupies, we asked some of them in our special okie-dokie feedback club, and they endorsed the idea of Google ads. After putting our heads together we decided the ads were the best way—meaning most unobtrusive way—to chip away at our bandwidth balance. We don’t think you’ll mind, but let us know if you do!
